Forest Hills came out on top 19-17 over Sparta in a game as tight as the score indicates. A classic speed versus size match-up with all of our scores coming on runs of 40 yards plus versus their a yard at time mode. Chris Kemp hit a difficult conversion kick with 10 minutes left to give us the lead and the team played excellent defense to seal the win. Many penalties as lots of new players learning the game, but we will address that as the season goes on. The B side game ended up a 0 – 0 tie and every player got some game time during the evening. The only injury of the game was Joe Whalen of FHC who got a broken nose. He will be out for 3-4 weeks.
