The next highlight is our men’s junior 2x. They had a great race down the course and won our first race of the day. Unfortunately, they were beaten on time by the winning boat in the second flight. This is a crew that we feel strongly about, and I know they are excited for next week to try and get revenge for being beaten on time.
- Our Men’s Lightweight 4+ consists of two novice boys who had their first race of their careers this weekend. While the race wasn’t perfect, we all saw some good things and we are excited to keep working on this crew and get them rowing a bit cleaner and moving faster.
- The men’s quad is I think one of my favorite races from the regatta. They had a rough start catching two crabs within the first 5 strokes of the race. This put them at a massive disadvantage. They were able to battle back and overtake the other crews in their race to get the win. Unfortunately, similarly to the Junior 2x race earlier in the day they were beaten on time by the winning crew of the other flight.
