The Hawks travelled to Rockford for a non-conference game with the Rams.  A quality opponent, Rockford entered the game with the #4 ranking in Division 1.

FHE came out of the gates quickly, applying loads of pressure on the Rockford defense.  Senior Brandon Underwood was dynamic in the attack as his teammates did a great job of playing the ball into quality attacking space for him.  Rockford was able to keep the Hawks to a 0-0 tie at halftime, despite a couple of 1v1s with their goalkeeper.

The second half saw Rockford become more active in their attacks as they picked up their level of pressure.  The Rams outshot FHE 5-2 in shots at goal for the second half, but neither team was able to capitalize on their chances.  Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Hopkins and his defense played well in the 0-0 final.

The Hawks move to 7-4-3 on the season and travel to Middleville to take on Thornapple Kellogg in the OK Gold regular season finale on Monday.  Kickoff is at 6:45pm.
